Many of our favorite consigned pieces have had quite a history! We love learning about an item's past, as well as being a part of its future!
This beautiful antique dresser was from a family estate on the east coast. After having it shipped to her River Forest home, the consignor realized it just wouldn't work in her space. Distraught over the idea of selling it online or in a garage sale, Eleanor found Divine Consign and was thrilled with the prospect of her beloved dresser finding a proper home!
Here is where the story gets even more interesting...
The buyer, from Oak Park, who absolutely fell in love with the dresser discovered they were being transferred for work. They had their moving company pick it up from our store and it is now residing in Austin, Texas.
Crazy, right?
