Divine's STEAL of the Day: Queen Anne Glass Top Coffee Table

Today's Divine STEAL is this wonderful Queen Anne style coffee table with an etched glass top that, for SOME reason (which we will never understand!), has been sitting patiently in our store for several weeks, just waiting for her new family to come waltzing in and sweep her off her feet!

If you've been waiting it out for that perfect coffee table with the right price, now's the time to act - this one is marked down to a whopping $82.49! Seriously. Not only is it in AMAZING condition, but it is a timeless piece that will go with your home decor now and in five or ten years (or whenever you decide to redecorate - tomorrow?)

Here are some of our favorite ways to incorporate a coffee table like this into your existing home decor:

Divine's Deal of the Day: Dania Nightstand

Today's deal is this perfect light wood nightstand from Dania furniture. We have this little guy (and his twin!) right now for $137.49 a piece. Two "like-new" nightstands for under $300? There is no denying that is one GREAT deal!

Call Divine Consign at (708)386-3366 to hold/purchase over the phone.

These nightstands are the perfect finishing touch for any bedroom.

"But all my bedroom furniture is dark wood and antique! These just wouldn't look right..." you say?

First of all, consignment shopping is ALL about mixing and matching. If you've been too chicken to try it...give it a shot! Dark wood + light wood, traditional + modern, whatever your "normal" style is, we dare you to take a little risk and try something out of the ordinary.

Here's a little help...If you heart Pinterest as much as we do, we bet you've stumbled upon a crafty idea or two that you haven't gotten the chance to try yet. C'mon, it's now or never! Grab a little paint, roll up your sleeves, and turn these already beautiful pieces of furniture into something to put your stamp on.

A "Mini-Merchandise Mart" Comes to Oak Park

WE'VE GOT BIG SUPER EXCITING NEWS!

Over the past few weeks, we've been busy meeting with some of the best designers all around Chicagoland and browsing through their super awesome showrooms of high-end home furnishings.

With so much amazing furniture right at our fingertips, we got to thinking...

What if we could make this typically "designer-only" merchandise available to the public and OUR CUSTOMERS for a limited time event?

Alas, a one-of-a-kind, unprecedented event was born:

Remember the "Treasure Hunt" days at the Merchandise Mart? They're back - and the treasure has moved to Oak Park.  Divine Consign, working with the finest showrooms and studios at the mart and throughout Chicagoland, has compiled one-half million dollars of high-end designer showroom inventory to be sold at 50-90% off "Mart" prices. From showrooms such as C.A.I. Designs, Martin-Wood, Kenneth Ludwig, Anacara, Treasure Garden, Lily Jack, Dana Creath, Park Place Interiors and others, this warehouse event will make these designer items available to the public for 10 days only - February 8-17, 2013.

Our Pinterest Inspired Room

We're not sure if it's the gloomy weather outside or the fact that we've been staring at nothing but red and green since the beginning of the holiday season (October...really???), but when we stumbled upon this photo while browsing Pinterest, it made our eyes light up and had our hearts pitter-pattering just a little faster than usual...

So, in true Design-Diva form, we decided to try and recreate this room with items from our store! Check out how we would copy this room's decor, and let us know what you think!

We'd start with a Divine Consign-ordered Surya rug with a simple pattern in a neutral color, like one of these. (Remember, we can special-order any Surya rug you'd like, for a fraction of what they sell for in other stores!)

Meditation Garden by Surya

Bengal by Surya

(call us at 708.386.3388 for more info)

Then we'd add in simple, neutral seating with straight lines. This bench and chair would work great together!

Micro-Fiber Bench (Item # 7476) $186.99

Upholstered Side Chair (Item # 5784) $131.99

We happen to have a coffee table in the EXACT same style as the one in the photo! Although the finish on ours is much darker, it is timeless and would work well in your home for years to come.

Book It - Coffee Table (Item # 5207) $329.99

We'd finish off all the neutral tones with some bright and funky accents! The lamp we have is very similar to the pair in the photo, the blue glass vase is practical while still being decorative (and absolutely gorgeous!), and these super-fun, brightly colored, animal print pillows turn it into a fun and lively place to unwind.

Martin-Wood Lamp $398.99, Large Blue Glass Vase $26.39,
Pair of Martin-Wood Pillows $42.99

What do you think? Can you see our pieces working together in one room? Has a picture ever inspired you to redecorate your home? Let us know, we love to hear from you!
